At one point, I was very anti-human when it came to telephone-provided information (this was pre-internet). Why speak to some schmoe about my account balance when I could just go throuhg voice menus. Now I've come full circle and want to speak to someone all the time. Why? Though customer service invariably sucks, it sucks less than the unforgiving voice menu.
